En este trabajo se abordará el origen del metrónomo y la introducción del mismo como un elemento musical. Buscaremos las primeras obras en las que este aparece y haremos un breve repaso de las mismas, observando su uso, hasta llegar a Glamour, de Casey Cangelosi, que será el principal objeto de es-tudio, puesto que será interpretada en el concierto de final de estudios.

Abordaremos la figura de Cangelosi desde su biografía y realizaremos un catálogo, a partir del cual podemos observar rasgos comunes en sus composi-ciones: el uso de instrumentos no convencionales y el uso del metrónomo.
Entrevistaremos al compositor, lo que nos ayudará a entender sus traba-jos y concretamente Glamour desde su punto de vista para lograr un análisis y comprensión de la obra lo más profunda posible.

In this work, we are going to look at the origin of the metronome, and its introduction in music as a musical element. We are going to search the first works in which the metronome appears, and we are gonig to carry out a review, che-cking the use of it until Glamour, by Casey Cangelosi. This composition will be the subject of our work, because it will be interpreted in the final degree concert.

We are going to look at the musical career of Cangelosi, from his biography and we are going to elaborate a catalogue of his works. Henceforth, we could observe some common themes in his compositions: the use of unconventional instruments and the use of the metronome.

We are going to do an interview with the composer, which is going to help us to understand his works, and, in particular, Glamour, from his point of view, to analyse and understanding of the work most deep as is possible.
