Sergei Rachmaninoff fue un compositor, pianista y direc- tor ruso que vivió entre finales del siglo XIX y principios del siglo XX. Fue ajeno a las corrientes vanguardistas de su época y su estilo nunca dejó de ser romántico, lo que lo sitúa en el post-romanticismo musical. En este trabajo se realizará un análisis del estilo musical de sus Momen- tos Musicales Opus 16, así como un breve estudio sobre el contexto histórico en el que vivió e influencias musica- les que recibió.

Sergei Rachmaninoff was a Russian composer, pianist, and conductor who lived between the late 19th and early 20th centuries. He was oblivious to the avant-garde cu- rrents of his time and his style never ceased to be roman- tic, which places him in post-romantic music. In this work, an analysis of the musical style of his Moments Musicaux Opus 16 will be carried out, as well as a brief study of the historical context in which he lived and the musical influences he received.
