Gestos corporales en la interpretación musical : Análisis del vocabulario gestual guitarrístico en grabaciones del nocturnal after John Dowland, op.70, de Benjamin Britten / Rita Clara Almeida Santos Miragaia - , 2021 - 107 p. + CD
Una actuación musical es una actividad social y cultural que implica un constante intercambio de informaciones entre los intérpretes y el público. Estas informaciones son el resultado, por una parte, de gestos que están involucrados
en la producción de sonidos, y, por otra parte, de gestos auxiliares que están relacionados con la estructura musical y con las intenciones expresivas de los artistas. Con el objetivo de estudiar con mayor profundidad y consciencia los
gestos corporales y faciales en una actuación de guitarra, se realizó un estudio de producción, donde se examinaron los gestos de diferentes músicos al interpretar la obra Nocturnal after John Dowland, op. 70, de Benjamin Britten.
Para ello, se llevaron a cabo dos análisis, uno centrado en comparar los gestos de diferentes guitarristas en situaciones de concierto y otro con el foco en los gestos de un mismo guitarrista en dos contextos diferentes: un concierto con
público y una grabación de vídeo sin público. Por último, basándose en las grabaciones del Nocturnal, op.70, se elaboró una categorización del vocabulario gestual guitarrístico y se identificaron las principales funciones de cada gesto.

A musical performance is a social and cultural activity that involves a constant exchange of information between the performers and the audience. This information is the result, on the one hand, from gestures that are involved in the
production of sounds, and, on the other hand, from auxiliary gestures that are related to the musical structure and the expressive intentions of the artists. In order to study in greater depth and awareness the corporal and facial gestures in
a guitar performance, a production study was carried out, where the gestures of different musicians were examined when interpreting the work Nocturnal after John Dowland, op. 70, by Benjamin Britten. For this, two analyses were carried
out, one focused on comparing the gestures of different guitarists in concert situations and the other focusing on the gestures of the same guitarist in two different contexts: a concert with an audience and a video recording without
audience. Finally, based on the recordings of the Nocturnal, op.70, a categorization of the guitar gestural vocabulary was elaborated and the main functions of each gesture were identified.
