"De raíz galega" Os arranxos sobre temas tradicionais no concurso de gaitas de Ponteareas (2010 - 2020) / Marina Fernández Vigo - , 2021 - 39 p. + CD
Ser “de raíz galega” é a etiqueta que se lle esixe ó repertorio presentado ó Concurso de gaitas de Ponteareas, onde concorren grupos de toda Galicia dende hai máis de cincuenta
anos. A resposta a esta etiqueta dá lugar a dúas vertentes: composicións que manteñen certos elementos formais de música tradicional ou popular, ou arranxos de melodías
tradicionais. Nesta última categoría céntrase o presente traballo, que tentará determinar as características musicais deste repertorio, así como intentar concretar se existe unha
corrente estética común, a través da análise das partituras presentadas.

Having “Galician roots” is the requirement asked to the repertoire attending the Competition of Bagpipes of Ponteareas, a fifty-year-old contest where Galician traditional bands meet. The necessity to answer this requirement has led to two different solutions: new compositions which preserve certain formal elements of traditional and popular music, and musical arrangements of traditional tunes. This work focuses on the former category by analysing the scores of the contesting tunes with two main objectives: specifying the musical characteristics of this repertoire and trying to determine the existence of a common musical aesthetic.
